Mark Musket P.A.-C

Mark Musket PA-C, MPAS, joined the staff of the Southern Maryland Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Center in July of 2008. Born in Harrisburg, PA he was raised in Guilford, CT, just north of New Haven. Mark is a graduate of the US Miltary's Interservice Physician Assistant Program, where he trained alongside Navy, Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard students and where he graduated with Honors in May of 1998.

After becoming a Physician Assistant Mark served tours of duty at the Naval Ambulatory Care Center Newport Rhode Island, the Naval Hospital Rota Spain, and Naval Health Clinic Patuxent River Maryland. While in Maryland he also spent 12 months in Afghanistan as the Medical Officer for the Provincial Reconstruction Team assigned to Paktika Province. Mark is Certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

At Southern Maryland Orthopaedics Mark evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a wide variety of orthopedic and sports medicine illnesses and injuries. He works closely with our Orthopedic Surgeons and assists in the care and treatment of their patients as well. Mark performs injections and aspirations, applies casts and splints, is very involved in our Osteoporosis Clinic, and performs ultrasound examinations.

Mark lives in Hollywood, MD with his wife Kelly and his children Hilary and Josh. He enjoys reading, woodworking, home improvement, and spending time with his family and friends.
